Sub Organizations

How to manage multiple business locations, each with its own configuration and phone number.

Overview

A sub organization is one phone line — one business location with its own configuration, phone number, and settings.

When you first sign up and complete onboarding, your first sub organization is created automatically. If you run multiple locations or separate departments, you can create additional sub organizations — each completely independent.

Why multiple sub organizations?

Each sub organization can have its own:

  • Phone number (permanent or extension)
  • Menu, services, or information content
  • Business hours and time zone
  • AI voice, personality, and language settings
  • POS or calendar integration
  • Independent notification contacts

Common use cases:

  • Multiple restaurant locations or storefronts
  • Different departments that each need a dedicated phone line
  • Separate service brands managed under one account

Switching between sub organizations

Use the sub organization selector in the top navigation bar or sidebar to switch between your sub organizations. All settings pages reflect whichever sub organization is currently selected.

Managing sub organizations

Adding a new sub organization

Click Add Sub Organization

On the Sub Organizations page, click the Add Sub Organization button.

Enter the sub organization name

Type the name for the new location or department (e.g., "Downtown Location" or "Catering Line").

Configure the new sub organization

Switch to the new sub organization using the selector and complete its full setup following the Setup Checklist. Each sub organization starts completely unconfigured.

Each additional sub organization requires its own active subscription. Billing is tracked separately per sub organization and shown independently on each sub organization's Billing page.

Renaming an sub organization

Click the edit (pencil) icon next to the sub organization name on the Sub Organizations page. Enter the new name and save.

Deleting an sub organization

Click the Delete button next to the sub organization. Deletion is scheduled — the sub organization enters a grace period before being permanently removed.

During the grace period:

  • The sub organization remains visible with the scheduled deletion date shown in red
  • You can restore it at any time by clicking Keep
  • The AI continues to handle calls from that sub organization until the deletion date

You must always have at least one active sub organization. The Delete button is disabled if only one sub organization exists.

After the grace period expires, the sub organization, its settings, configuration, and assigned phone number are permanently removed. Use the Keep button to restore it before the grace period ends.

Restoring a scheduled-for-deletion sub organization

Click the Keep button next to the sub organization showing a scheduled deletion date. This immediately cancels the deletion and restores the sub organization to active status.
